Engineering We have an in-house engineering staff that utilizes the highest level of design software including AutoCAD, PRO-Engineer and Solidworks. We have the capability to convert Unigraphics files to PRO-Engineer Files, and can read IGES, Catia, and DXF files. We have a programmable Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) with Micromeasure 4 and PC-Demis software packages. In addition, we have 3D digitizing capabilities for reverse engineering needs. With these things combined, our capabilities are second to none. Whether our customer needs black box designs or reverse engineered solutions, we can handle it all. Production We have a full array of CNC machining centers. Our CNC lathes include tailstock, bar feeders, sub-spindle and live tooling, while our CNC mills (vertical and horizontal) include tool and pallet changers for high production machining of both large and intricate components while holding tolerances to microns. Utilizing PRO-Manufacturing and Esprit software, our programming capabilities allow for both short and long production run for our customers. Checking Fixtures Utilizing our expertise in precision machining along with a focus on quality design, we have become one of the South's premier gauge shops. We have built hundreds of checking fixtures for companies throughout the country. Our unique approach to designing and manufacturing check fixtures has made our gauges some of the most sought after in industry. Custom Tooling Our CNC machining equipment, wire EDM, abundant manual machining equipment, and 3D digitizing capability allows us to provide tooling components and details for the metal stamping, casting, and plastics industry. Our CNC gear cutting capability allows us to provide replacement of any custom or standard gears with short lead times. Integrating our engineering capabilities with our equipment allows us to handle most any engineering changes that may come about. Weld Fixtures We have extensive experience designing and manufacturing resistance and MIG welding fixtures for the automotive, appliance, and metal furniture industries. We have teamed up with Motoman as a distributor and have provided robotic welding solutions to solve some of our customers' most difficult manufacturing problems. Burns Gauge & Machine, located 25 miles
west of Nashville off of I-40 was built on service and customer
satisfaction. Customers have come to depend on BG&M to help
solve their production problems. Whether they need precision
machined components in high volumes for production or specialty
components, we have the equipment and resources. We consistently
hold tolerances to within .0005" on hole and surface
location. Our customers have come to take advantage of and depend
on our commitment of 24 hours of service. We have seven CNC
machining centers used for production and machining components
for our gauges, tooling components, weld fixture components, and
replacement machine components. This along with our full
compliment of manual machines helps us meet tight deadlines and
still do it for a competitive price. Our customers include many
of Middle Tennessee's largest manufacturers.
