| Burns Gauge & Machine was built on service and customer satisfaction.We pride ourselves on being diverse enough to meet any needs of our customers. Customers have come to depend on BG&M to help solve their production problems. Whether they need precision-machined components in high volumes for production, specialty tooling & components, special machines and fixturing, we have the equipment and resources. Our customers have come to take advantage of and depend on our commitment of 24 hours of service. We have eight CNC machining centers used for production and machining components for our gauges, tooling components, weld fixture components, and special machines. This along with our full compliment of manual machines helps us meet tight deadlines and still do it for a competitive price. Our customers include many of Middle Tennessee’s largest manufacturers. |
Special Machines and Fixtures We have extensive experience
designing and building custom manufacturing and assembly equipment for various
industries. Our special machines include
robotic MIG spot welding cells and stand alone weld cells. For example, we have manufactured various
assembly, heat stake, and inspection fixtures.
Also, we have manufactured custom machines with automatic feeding of
components to injection mold presses, weld cells, and custom routing/plane
equipment for the log home industry. We
have built various types of press support equipment to improve productivity and
reduce production cost including lubricant spray cabinets, automatic steel coil
shears, custom exit conveyors, and container shuttle conveyor systems for part
removal. Checking FixturesUtilizing our expertise in precision machining along with a focus on quality design, we have become one of the South’s premier gauge shops. We have built thousands of checking fixtures for companies throughout the country. Our unique approach to designing and manufacturing check fixtures has made our gauges some of the most sought after in industry. ProductionWe have a full array of CNC
machining centers. Our CNC lathes
include tailstock, bar feeders, sub-spindle and live tooling, while our CNC
mills (vertical and horizontal) include tool and pallet changers for high
production machining of both large and intricate components while holding
tolerances to microns. Utilizing
PRO-Manufacturing and Esprit software, our programming capabilities allow for
both short and long production runs for our customers. Custom ToolingOur CNC machining equipment, wire EDM, abundant manual machining equipment, and 3D digitizing capability allows us to provide production tooling and replacement details for the metal stamping, casting, and plastics industry. Our CNC department allows us to provide the replacement of any custom or standard replacement parts with short lead times. Integrating our engineering capabilities with our equipment allows us to handle most new tooling needs including any engineering changes that industries may require. Stamping Capabilities With our in house 200 ton press,we have the ability to test and tryout blank and form dies,progressive,and hand transfer dies. |
